While stage managing many of the mainstage productions at the University of
Florida, Kimberly became fascinated with the process of an actor attaining a role.
She sat in every audition right alongside the director—hearing his thoughts and
reactions to the talent at hand. This was the beginning of her journey into casting!
After her junior year of college, Kimberly spent the summer in New York City
interning for renowned Broadway casting director Tara Rubin. Post graduation, she
moved right back up to the city to intern for casting powerhouse, Bernard Telsey
of Telsey + Company casting. Later, as the commerical casting apprentice, she ran
sessions for such companies as Apple, Macy’s, and Target. When the city life kept
her too far from family and loved ones, Kimberly decided to make the big move back
to her home town of Atlanta to take part in the huge television and film industry
boom of the Southeast. She could not be more thankful for the Fincannons in taking
a chance on her casting chops!

Mark Fincannon
Vice- President
Mark was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. After finishing the 1st grade in Greensboro, his family moved to Asheboro, North Carolina. Mark’s most treasured early memories were tap, jazz and ballet classes in a little one room clapboard house with hardwood floors and a wall of mirrors. Early on, Mark remembers using his dad’s 8MM movie camera and shooting a couple of short movies with his brother, Craig. One they called “Snoopy Goes to the Moon;” others were untitled war movies using ketchup for blood. As a teen, he got involved in boy scouting where he ultimately received the highest honor, the Eagle Scout Award. During his junior year, Mark & his family moved to Burlington, NC, where he attended Walter Williams High School and graduated the bi-centennial year of 1976. That year he became deeply involved with their musical program: participating in the choir as well as singing and dancing in several musicals.
Mark then went to Catawba College in Salsibury, NC, for their nationally recognized theatre program. Catawba was included in the Princeton Review's Top 5 Programs for Theatre. Mark’s college theater experiences involved starring in and rehearsing plays at night while directing one act plays on the weekends. During his summers, he worked in live shows at Carowinds Theme Park in Charlotte, NC.
After graduating from Catawba in 1980 Mark joined his brother Craig in the early formation of Fincannon and Associates in Charlotte, North Carolina. He ultimately moved to Wilmington, NC, to establish their casting company at Screen Gems Studios in 1983.
Mark and his wife, Sharon live in Leland, North Carolina (a suburb of Wilmington, NC). When not in the office, they spend their time working together for outreaches in Juvenile Detention Centers as much as possible. It's their hope to inspire troubled youth to move towards a more healed, restored and productive life.
